Snooooooooow!

It's snowing hard and its settling!

It never settles here because we are so near the sea but it is today!!

I'm going to stay indoors and write. Too bloody cold out there.

Brrrrr

I'm off work at the moment because I'm trying out some new medications (currently up to 16 a day now...yay) and it'll take me a few days to get used to them according to Cruds. So he said I shouldn't work until I do. I thought he was being overcautious but nooooooooooo.

I've lost track of how many times I've passed out the last two days. I'm like an Eighteenth century vapid lady swooning at the mention of a bare chest.

Apparently that will pass and I fricking well hope so. My poor ol' head and elbows keep hitting things on the way down and Mr C is fed up of catching me. Hee

CFFC09: Six Days, Seven Weeks

A/N: After a fantasy one shot, a collection of angsty drabbles, and an equally angsty alternative history piece, I decided to reward everyone with a little fluff. If you're rigid in regards to the setting as I know some readers are, think of this story as being three years in the future, giving Jason and Elizabeth plenty of time to sort out their problems and get things back on track without me actually having to figure out how to wade through all the ridiculous malarkey keeping them apart. Also, as stated when I posted my first Christmas challenge piece, I will be putting up one shots and chapters of Heartbeats that I had previously written and just hanging about collecting dust. Once those are all posted, who knows what will happen. Just like last year, the holiday challenge seemed to refuel my interest in writing for this pairing. The only problem is... I just don't know how long that interest will last. On one final note, I know I've said this before, but you guys have been absolutely amazing to me these past couple of weeks. I've so enjoyed reading your enthusiasm for my Christmas stories. :) Your responses have made participating in this challenge entirely worth it!

CFFC09#4: What are You Doing for New Year's Eve?

So, uh, Mr. Morgan, what are you doing for New Year's Eve this year?”

Glancing up from the paperwork he was finishing, paperwork that the new kid in front of him was supposed to take to the courthouse and have filed or Diane would stab the both of them with a letter opener, protecting her precious heels in the process, Jason narrowed his gaze. While he knew the rookie was simply trying to kill time and make the atmosphere around them less tense, he hated small talk. Always had, always would, for he found it pointless. Besides, it wasn't as if he and the kid were friends. Dustin was a recent recruit, and, for now, he simply ran errands and detailed cars, but, someday, if he stayed alert and kept his nose out of places it didn't belong, he'd have the chance to move up in the organization. However, none of that would happen, though, if he didn't do as he was told and keep his mouth shut.

CFFC09: On Leave

A/N: I'm totally messing with history here, folks. Lucky didn't die, and, because of that, Elizabeth's entire existence was different. That doesn't mean, though, that things never get the chance to right themselves. Though she and Jason don't meet up and become friends in August of 1999, a few years later, fate steps in. With this story, I must warn you that Elizabeth is very much different, on the surface, from the woman we've watched (or have stopped watching in some cases... including my own) all these years. For one thing, she has a potty mouth, so, if you don't like swearing, cover your eyes. :-P Also, even though most of us are comfortable enough with violence... considering the fact we're interested in a couple who's one half mob enforcer, the violence presented in this story is not mob related. Other than that, I don't think there are any other ways for me to attempt to scare you off from reading. ;-) So, if you do take the chance, enjoy! On one last note before I shut up and post, I just wanted to thank everyone who is reading and responding to my challenge submissions. It's wonderful to feel so embraced despite the fact that I've been MIA for months now. Happy New Year, everyone!

CFFC09#3: I'll be Home for Christmas

The best thing about Jake's during the holidays was the fact that she didn't play Christmas carols. Whether it was because she knew half of her patrons were untraditional celebrators, like himself, or too depressed to listen to promises of family, love, and happiness, Jason wasn't sure. Truth be told, he didn't particularly care what her reasons were. He just appreciated the decidedly non-Christmasy atmosphere.

Arghhhhhhhhhh......

Tell me again why we are having a New Years Eve party tomorrow when I'm supposed to be working until 6pm and people are arriving from 7pm.

45-ish people and I decided to do the food instead of just going to Sainsbury's and getting some party food. I've been cooking since I got in this evening and I'm officially knackered and I'm nowhere near finished.

As my boss and his wife are coming...(and most of the dept) I'm hoping to be let off early tomorrow so I can finish off the food. Blackmail is always a good way to go. My tact is going to be 'if you want to be fed something other than stale bread and cheese....' I think that'll work. Hee

Happy New Year everyone!

Seventeen Minutes in Heaven

A/N: Though I may not like celebrating New Year's Eve myself, that does not mean that I don't enjoy writing about characters who do. (Gotta love those dichotomies, huh?) Anyway, this is a completely AU, human one shot pertaining to Buffy and Angel. Though I've written them in human form before, I have yet to post those stories, so this is the first time you'll be reading one of my non-supernatural flavored B/A tales. Let's hope you like it. Also, another thing you might not have known about me: I like fashion... though I don't actually shop too much. Because of this reason, I often pick out real clothes for my characters, so, if you're inclined, feel free to check out Buffy's NYE dress HERE. Thanks, everyone, and, following a few more holiday related posts, I'll get back to updating Blind Love. Be safe tomorrow night.

Seventeen Minutes in Heaven

Contrary to both the written and the unwritten rules of his profession, he had no qualms about dating students. Of course, one had to be discreet, but he was young and attractive, as were they, and, due to the amount of hours he worked, there weren't enough hours in the day for him to find a social life outside of the campus. That didn't mean, though, that he didn't have standards for himself.

CFFC09: My December

A/N: This story is based upon just the title of the second prompt. I didn’t particularly like the lyrics, and the idea I had fit only with the title. Also, this is a collection of drabbles – 31 drabbles, to be exact, one for each day of the month. If you are unfamiliar with the term drabble, a drabble is a short, 100 word story. While they don’t take long to write, editing them and making sure that they are 100 words exactly is very time consuming, especially if you still want the stories to make sense. ;-) Anyway, just a warning, this one is not so bright and shiny, not so holly jolly. Perfect for today, right? Also, thanks to everyone who read and responded to Running Late. I’m glad it was well received, that the idea was appreciated and liked. Enjoy!

CFFC09 Prompt #2: December Makes Me Feel This Way

December 1st

He had worked late. Again. Jason wasn't sure if it was because of the holiday rush or because he just didn't want to go home. However, neither reason was a good excuse.

Moving through the house, he realized nobody was there. It was quiet, but, even when his family was home - the kids running around, his wife taking care of all of them, the silence still seemed to permeate the space.

In the kitchen, he found the note. Dinner in the oven, went to the movies, be back late. Love you.

He went to bed with an empty stomach.
